Psychology Major at Fordham Universtiy, 3.9 GPA I am currently a Graduate Student in Fordham's Graduate School of Education looking to obtain my Professional Diploma in School Psychology.
Experience
Previously tutored a second grade and a ninth grade student, each for one year. I have worked with children ranging from ages 5-17 in various settings for over six years. I have volunteered as a Sunday school teacher teaching first, second, and third grade students. I have also worked as a camp counselor for three years with numerous age groups, and I have volunteered as a teacher’s aid in numerous classrooms. I want to be a tutor because I am extremely interested in helping children learn. This is also why I want to obtain my graduate degree in School Psychology. I had a tutor when I was younger and I believe it made all the difference. She taught me how to study, and that single skill has helped me excel all the way to graduate school. Moreover, throughout high school my teachers and students themselves asked for my help in understanding the material, stating I just taught it better.
