Princeton University Honors Graduate, Class of 2017. I studied Economics and Neuroscience, and graduated with a 3.9 GPA.

Experience

I received a score of 2360 on the SAT (800 Math, 760 Critical reading, 800 Writing), and a score of 35 on the ACT. I was the valedictorian of my high school (Pittsford Sutherland) and interned at Goldman Sachs for the past two summers before deciding to pursue my love of teaching by becoming a 5th grade math teacher in New York City in the fall of 2017. At Princeton, I studied economics and neuroscience, and graduated in the top 10% of my class. In high school, I took a wide variety of AP classes (Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Macroecnomics/Microeconomics, Psychology, U.S. History, Spanish, Literature & Composition) and am comfortable tutoring any of the above subjects in addition to standardized test tutoring. If your child is interested in either multi-subject or more focused tutoring, I would be a strong fit. As a neuroscience minor, I apply my scientific background of learning to my teaching techniques. I enjoy tailoring my tutoring style to the individual needs and strengths of my students, and am dedicated to helping them succeed by targeting their specific learning styles. I have three years of experience as a math tutor and have a strong track record of success among my students.

Hobbies

I love running, drawing, playing tennis, and reading, and am very friendly and open. I decided to go into teaching because I love working one-on-one with students, and really care about fostering growth in a challenging but encouraging environment. I focus on standardized test and high-school tutoring, but as a 5th grade teacher would be happy to work with middle- or elementary-level students as well.
