I have master's degree in Math and Computer Science and over eight years experience teaching Computer Science, Technology and Applications to a diverse population of students with a wide variety of educational backgrounds and experience. Previously had a corporate career in computer science (worked as a programmer/analyst). I have taught and tutored students in courses including College Math, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Access and Systems Analysis and Design. My philosophy of teaching and tutoring is to encourage independent thinking in my students and to show them how knowledge, obtained from classes and tutoring sessions can be applied to practical work. The classes I’m currently teaching are the following: MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), advanced Excel, advanced MS Access and MS Project. I'm also helping students as a tutor and often commended for patience and clarity of explanations. My schedule is pretty flexible— late afternoons and evenings are generally good, and weekends are also very good. I have a 12-hour cancellation policy, though I kindly ask that you inform me as soon as you know you won't be able to make it.
