Experience
I have grown up with a passion for everything in the sciences. From physics and mathematics to biology and programming. My undergraduate courseload spanned and thoroughly investigated all of these topics. These vast and deep subjects have made me examine each of them with an integrated perspective. I founded a tutoring non-profit while in College, where I tutored and taught seminars on everything from Introductory French to Multivariable calculus and beyond. I spent 4 years working as a tutor in all subjects in mathematics at a math-focused learning center. My philosophy for learning was passed on to me by my great teachers and professors of the past: If you can't explain it simply, then you don't know it well enough. As a future physician, one our fundamental tenets is explaining complicated topics in a simple, straightforward way. I have and will continue to apply this not just to tutoring but to learning and teaching in general. My perspective in tutoring is an approach rooted in having good fundamentals. For example, a field like mathematics is one that is entirely rooted on having good fundamentals. While the numbers, variables, and word problems will change, having a good set of fundamentals prepares you to tackle all of these different challenges.
