Experience
I hold a bachelor's degree in Art History and Economics from Binghamton University. While earning my degree, my primary focus was in architecture. Recently, I began working toward my master's degree in architecture. My tutoring experience began while I was a freshman at BU. Through an online system, I had the opportunity to assist kindergarten through 8th grade students in mathematics. I also have experience working one-on-one with students. In one instance, I worked with a student to build better habits with both studying and organization. Mathematics is my specialty, though I am available to tutor in a variety of subjects. My own tutoring style involves giving my students 100% of my effort and knowledge. If a mentor does not care, the student will not care either. This, of course, will only cause setbacks and does nothing to help students build their skills. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a student gain confidence when they were once struggling in a subject. When I am not mentoring, I spend my free time being active. I enjoy working out at my local gym, playing Ultimate Frisbee, going on runs, and playing basketball. I also use my leisure time to read and cook.
