Experience

Learning should be fun. It should engage the student and encourage friendly competition, just like all good sports and games do. When students are fully experiencing their learning environment in such a way, progress is guaranteed. And that's my goal as a tutor - to create the kind of environment that shakes up and engages the student. Tutoring is something I have a lot of experience in. During high school, I tutored my fellow students in any subject they needed to be tutored in - Math, Philosophy, Spanish, English, and even Music Theory. I did the same thing at Denison University, where I received a bachelor's degree in Philosophy with minors in Music Performance and Spanish. I have also worked with adults studying for the GRE and with Spanish-speaking children on their English. At the moment, I am working for a lobbying firm and giving my leisure time over to soccer, singing, and chess. I do want to keep in touch with my tutoring roots, though, and do whatever I can to help students reach their academic goals.
