Experience

I am a versatile tutor who specializes in a vast array of subjects. Some of these subjects include math subjects, all the way from elementary math up through algebra, geometry, trig, and calculus and statistics. I can also tutor in a number of science topics, such as chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, and more. I'm qualified to teach IB subjects, and to help students prepare for standardized tests such as the PCAT, ACT, SAT, MCAT, DAT, GRE, and more. I believe the key to successful tutoring is teaching students to approach concepts from the right angle in order to make them seem less intimidating. Confidence and perspective are the two key components when it comes to education. Students face learning as though it were very difficult, and it can be, but with my method of tutoring, I make things much less intimidating for students. I received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. I also completed a Pre-Med track with biology and physics courses. After graduating, I worked in a lab conducting research on childhood leukemia. I live in New York, New York, and enjoy playing the guitar, collecting music, reading, tennis, running, and spending time outdoors.
