Experience
I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with a focus on public relations, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. When I was in college, I tutored a number of foreign students. Through this experience, I realized just how much I loved teaching.Upon graduating, I worked as an Atlanta elementary school teacher. Through this experience, I was able to help my students reach their academic goals. I then enrolled to Harvard University, where I received a master's degree in Education Policy in 2015.I currently live in New York City, where I work as an educational consultant for a non-profit organization. I tutor a wide range of subjects, such as elementary and middle school math, algebra, reading, writing, phonics, literature, grammar, essay writing, public speaking, Spanish, and English. However, I feel the most passionate about reading and writing.As a tutor, I work hard to give my students a deeper understanding of the content. It is important for the students to be able to work independently towards achieving their academic goals. Students must explain, using their own words, how they came up with solutions to any challenges they have faced.In addition to teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, and doing yoga.
