Experience

I have gained considerable experience in tutoring, both during my time at Brown University and after graduation. This experience comes from time spent teaching both English and History overseas in Kenya and also from tutoring high school students to help them prepare for exams, such as the Regents, SAT, ACT, and SSAT. That experience has led me to continue on teaching when and where I can. I truly enjoy teaching and I find helping students to be very gratifying. The best part about helping someone with their studies is getting to see how proud of themselves they are when they see real progress. I have always been passionate about learning and that is something that I hope to be able to teach to others as well. I think an important part of tutoring is in the mindset of the teacher and I like to approach each lesson with a positive attitude. In my free time, I enjoy a wide variety of activities. One of my favorite hobbies is filmmaking and I like to be involved in all aspects of the process, from beginning to end. I also like to travel and enjoy other pursuits such as photography and music.
