Experience
My teaching experience has been a result of my communication skills and my passion to share my language and culture. I have a double major in international Relations and Law in El Rosario University in Bogotá, Colombia. Spanish is my native language, and I can teach beginning to AP Spanish. Further, I was editorial assistant of an academic journal, and this editing experience allows me to help my students with Essay Writing and advanced grammar. I have been tutor of students from elementary to college level, and from different nationalities. I have worked as translator and interpreter in Spanish, English and French, so I am capable to solve any doubts in these languages and to bring real life examples of how to use Spanish in cultural contexts from Spain and Latin-America and also for business communications. I am also comfortable tutoring Global History and Geography, Social Studies, Environment and Literature. As a tutor, I like to get to know the students individually first, so I can fit their personal interests in the class with examples they can relate to. Also, I aim to identify the specific needs of each student in order to prepare classes in the correct pace and direction. I am currently a Fellow of a Human Rights organization based in New York, I hope together we can make your Spanish learning experience exceptional.
