Meg K.
Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
I have a BA in art from University of Oregon and continued my study at the Art Students League of New York and New York Academy of Art. I also studied creative writing at West Side YMCA and Gotham Writers' Workshop. From 2011-2013, I studied Russian at Moscow State University while I taught and tutored Japanese.
Experience
I began teaching Japanese at BKC-International in Moscow, Russia, while I studied Russian at Moscow State University. I realized then that I truly enjoyed helping students learn and improve their skills, and I continued tutoring when I returned to NYC. I have been teaching Japanese and Russian to college students and working professionals at Fluent City in Brooklyn and Manhattan. I also teach Japanese elective classes at International High School at Lafayette (9th-12th grades) in Brooklyn and Atmosphere Academy Charter School (6th-7th grades) in the Bronx.
