Private tutor in New York, NY

University of California Santa Barbara - BS, Biology , University of Pennsylvania - DMD, Dental Medicine

I am a tutor located in Philadelphia, PA. While I have experience tutoring students in a wide array of backgrounds and ages, I have specifically focused on tutoring elementary to high school students. I have tutored in private schools, public schools, and to low-income minority students. I believe all students can flourish academically if they are learning in a nurturing environment with repetition and positive feedback. I hold a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California Santa Barbara. Currently, I am pursing my degree in Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. I am skilled at tutoring a variety of subjects, but Biology is my favorite. The human body is fascinating, and I believe that there are many more advancements to be made in the field of Science. Other subjects I tutor include, Algebra, Anatomy, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physiology, ACT Science, ACT Reading, ACT English, DAT Survey of the Natural Sciences, DAT Perceptual Ability, Honors Chemistry, Arithmetic, Environmental Science, Quantitative Reasoning, Life Sciences, and Ecology. I also enjoy helping students build strong study habits and test taking preparation skills. When I am not studying or tutoring, I enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, water polo, reading, and traveling.
