Eric N.
Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
I am an Applied Mathematics and Statistics graduate student at Stony Brook University. I have attended there for my undergraduate as well, and am a former member of the Stony Brook Honors College. The satisfaction I get from seeing students overcome the initial mathematical framework and later solve problems of increasing complexity is paramount to being sure the best methods are offered. Please feel free to contact me to set up a session or ask any questions.
Experience
I have been tutoring students since sophomore year of high school in a variety of math subjects. I myself scored a 770 on the SAT Math Level II Subject Test, a perfect 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam, and am familiar with the of styles of standardized test questions including the Regents. Being President of my university actuarial club during my college years and passing the first two Society of Actuaries sponsored actuarial exams, I have specialized in tutoring students taking actuarial exams including Probability and Financial Mathematics. I was also a teaching assistant for their corresponding preparatory classes offered at the school, so I am used to spotting tricky errors made by students.
