Experience
I am a graduate of The Bronx High School of Science, National AP Scholar (received 5's on all 8 AP exams I took), Intel Science Talent Search Finalist, and New York City Science and Engineering Fair. At Columbia, I have been a Teaching Assistant for Neuroscience courses for past 3 years, and a tutor for ESL, elementary school students for 8 years in Astoria. I also have conducted adolescent psychiatric research for 7 years and will be starting work in a cognitive neuroscience laboratory. Further, I was a peer advisor for the Neuroscience major in college and I conduct college admissions interviews. I have experience tutoring in reading, writing, science, and psychology. Additionally, as I have participated in admissions committees, I am available for help in college essay writing/ editing, preparation for college applications, and practicing college interviews. I am available online/ in person. I absolutely love tutoring because it is a great way to interact with children and give back to the community in which I was raised!
