Tutor for 8 years in English Literature and Philosophy in London, Berlin and New York. Tutor for 4 years in English Language and Literature in Hong Kong and Kyoto. I am an Oxford-educated tutor with over ten years experience. A tutor in English Literature, Philosophy, History, and Business, I am also very experienced in exam, essay and application preparation, as well as proofreading (all subjects). I aim to create a supportive environment in order to develop confidence and to further the student`s understanding of exam technique and coursework requirements. I seek to engage with students in order to show them new angles from which they can tackle the obstacles that they encounter. PhD in English Literature, specialising in Shakespeare. The title of my thesis is `Shakespeare`s Creative Dialogue with the Reformation in the Tragicomic Plays`. I have a great deal of teaching and tutoring experience both in the UK and Far East (China and Japan) and enjoy making fast and effective progress with students in tutorial classes, focusing on study skills and exam technique, as well as looking in detail at the particular subject. Often a student will need work on increasing their confidence, which in turn allows them to engage with the subject more successfully and enjoyably.
