Private tutor in New York, NY

Education

I graduated from NYU with a BA in Math and am pursuing a master's degree in financial engineering at Baruch College. This is an elite graduate program whose students go on to work in the financial industry, especially big banks like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Even though I'm from China, I've been in New York for five years and I speak fluent English.

Experience

I have tutored at least five students, all of whom contacted me through this website. I got a full score in both SAT math and GRE quantitative part. I want to become a tutor because I'm aware that many American high schools don't teach quantitative subjects like math and physics well enough. American students often find international students know much more about these subjects than they do. I hope to help these students make up the difference. And of course, I want to help good students achieve excellence.

Hobbies

I love all kinds of sports. I play basketball, soccer, and ping pong, and I run 5 miles three times a week. The sports helped me become a lot slimmer than the chubby guy on the profile picture. I write iOS Apps for fun. I enjoy watching Modern Family every week and Game of Thrones every Spring. Recently I've been into reading classic Chinese novels such as Tale of the Three Kingdoms.
