Experience
I graduated from Stanford University with a PhD in Statistics and a master’s level degree in Finance. I tutor in Applied Statistics, Theoretical Statistics, Probability, Stochastic Processes, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, Empirical Finance, Portfolio Optimization, Actuarial Science and Biostatistics. I help with exams, assignments, programming projects, dissertations and less focused self-development. All client levels are welcome, from high school and undergraduate students to researchers and business professionals. Whenever data analysis or programming has to be done, we can exploit my expertise in one of the following statistical packages: R, SAS, SPSS, Matlab, Stata, Minitab, EViews and Excel. I believe I can offer quite practical approach to learning statistical and financial concepts because my experience has been very heavily based in both academia and industry. While in my Stanford days, I performed statistical consulting for researchers in various fields. After graduation I have worked on Wall Street and most recently in small financial sector, focusing on various projects pertaining to applied statistics, financial engineering, trading and risk analysis. In parallel, over the last six years I have been offering consulting and tutoring services. I have worked with literally more than 600 clients, covering pretty much the complete spectrum of statistics and quantitative finance. In my free time, I enjoy travel (like everybody I guess), folk and rock music, golf, skiing and thinking through new ventures.
