I am an exceptionally experienced tutor and homework helper. I specialize in standardized test preparation, time management, organizational skills and have a particularly strong emphasis on Mathematics and English Grammar. I cater to the spectrum of individual students, from those avoiding remedial classes, to those that just need to pass the test, to the few and far between genius students who want more consistency and to be given the edge to go farther. I can essentially teach anything up through Theoretical Physics. I have taught everything from dance to Latin, to the SSAT, Masters level English! I love tutoring. My students are the bright spot in my day and bring me a sense of fulfillment I could not find anywhere else in the world. When it comes to standardized test preparation and strategy it can an be stressful and seem a little overwhelming for a student. I focus primarily on HOW to take the examination (strategy) and secondarily on the content of the test itself. Also, I administer/proctor several full practice tests throughout our time working together specifically one at the beginning and near the end to not only serve as proof of improvement but also to analyze them for both what types of questions he or she needs to work on and how to better strengthen the critical thinking skills that come with it section by section. In addition, I am quite knowledgeable about admissions and have had students make huge, significant improvements on their test scores and compose splendid, strong essays.

I attended an Ivy League Preparatory School with an incredibly rigorous work load from second grade through completion. After graduating Horace Mann School, I moved to California, to attend one of the top three dance conservatories in the country pursuing a degree in dance and choreography. I determined that a dance career is not suitable for me, and subsequently returned to the East Coast to complete my undergraduate studies in English Language and Literature with an underlying Law concentration. I am taking the LSAT over the summer and will be returning to undergrad in the Fall of 2016.I am anticipating doctoral work in Education sequentially. I learned at a very early age how to manage my time and organize my work to insure both my strong work ethic and dedication to academia would reflect in both the quality of my work and in turn my grades. I hope to the same for my students by actively inspiring them to explore their creativity and intellectual curiosity, while developing and reinforcing specifically customized healthy study habits and organization skills that will serve them throughout their time in school and thereafter. I do everything in my power ensure my students success and do my best to instill the love of learning in their daily lives! I am also a championship level Irish Step Dancer, a modern/contemporary dance choreographer, and ballet trained. I love the fine arts and have been doing black and white darkroom photography for years. I have an exceptional track records on varying styles of debate teams. I also like gardening. I do my best to strike a balance and have fun while doing the work.
