I have a BA in pure mathematics from Bar Ilan university, IL. I graduated in 2007, summa cum laude. I am currently a mathematics PhD student at Bar Ilan U. I have submitted my thesis and, pending review, I ought to have my PhD within a few months' time. The subject of my thesis revolves around the computational aspects of some problems in geometric topology and the theory of knotted surfaces.
Experience
I have 5 years experience as a teaching assistant in Israel. I have taught various subjects in mathematics - Linear algebra, calculus, discrete mathematics (aka finite mathematics), differential geometry, etc. I have also taught students from various departments / majors. Mathematics, computer science, biology, economics, engineering, etc. I have recently relocated to NYC with my wife, and I would like to work as a tutor until I find a position in the area.
