Princeton University - Bachelors, History
I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in history from Princeton University. Many topics require that students memorize a lot of information, which can be rather grueling and unpleasant. As such, I aim to make my lessons more enjoyable than just working on memorization. I typically try to build on what my students already know, which often turns out to be more than they think they know. I am passionate about languages and have studied a wide variety of them, including English, Ancient Hebrew, Turkish, French, Latin, and Spanish. My experience with learning new languages has helped me realize that many of the principles surrounding communication are universal. In terms of tutoring, I am available to teach students in Latin, social studies, English, Spanish, geography, American history, English language and composition, English grammar and syntax, and writing. I also really enjoy helping students improve their writing skills and developing stronger arguments. I am comfortable helping students prepare for standardized tests, including the SAT and the PSAT. During my time in college, I was involved with writing independent research and I also worked as an editor for several different publications. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy running, reading, writing, music, and sports. I am especially interested in soccer and baseball.
