Northwestern University - Bachelors, Theatre
Experience
I am a musician, writer, and actor who lives in New York City. I attended Northwestern University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in theatre with a minor in American history. I really enjoy working with students at just about any age and finding ways to help them achieve success. I am a big fan of baseball, especially the San Francisco Giants. I am also passionate about working in both film and theatre. In terms of tutoring, I am comfortable tutoring students in comparative literature, college English, elementary and middle school math, public speaking, English grammar and syntax, literature, writing, and reading. I can also assist students with preparing for standardized tests, such as the SAT and ACT. My goal as a tutor is to help make learning a fun experience for my students. Academics should not be intimidating and if I'm doing my job as a tutor, students won't feel that way about their courses. I want to equip my students with the tools they need to succeed in all of their academic endeavors so my teaching style attempts to take as much pressure off of them as possible. My hobbies include singing, playing the piano, writing essays and screenplays, and reading fiction.
