Experience
Tutor Experience: essay writing/editing, high school writing, GRE writing, SAT writing, ACT writing, other standardized test writing, undergraduate writing, resume building, high school History and American Civics, AP History Classes, undergraduate history/political science/anthropology, Greek language I completed my undergraduate degree in History at Michigan State University and my Master’s degree in European and Mediterranean Studies at New York University. During my time as an undergraduate, I had publications through the Schoolcraft College Foundation, tutored fellow colleagues in writing, and interned at the USS Constitution Museum and the Michigan State Museum. Before beginning my Master’s program, I spent two years as a Board of Directors Committee Member at the Hellenic Museum of Michigan. My responsibilities ranged from designing and publishing the museum’s newsletter, expanding exhibitions, conducting historical research for exhibitions, translating artifacts and writings from Greek to English, and leading fundraising initiatives and events. I graduated with a Master of Arts in the multidisciplinary major of European and Mediterranean Studies in 2015 from New York University, where I studied history, anthropology, political science, and international relations. My research was focused on transnationalism and the Macedonian Identity Crisis between the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and the Hellenic Republic. While finishing my Master’s thesis, I also interned at a public policy think tank in Thessaloniki, Greece. In addition, I worked at the Center for European and Mediterranean Studies at NYU helping to edit the monthly CEMS Newsletter. My past teaching experiences were extremely rewarding, and I’m very excited by the opportunity to continue sharing with students my knowledge of history, writing, and the Greek language. As a tutor, I look forward to working closely with each of my students to determine a fun and optimal learning strategy based on their individual learning strengths and weakness.

Hobbies
I grew up in a tight knit trilingual family in Metro Detroit. I’m the oldest of three, and while growing up, I spent much of my time helping to take care of my younger siblings. In fact, my first tutoring experience was with my younger brother, who I helped to teach English vocabulary and grammar. While in high school, I went on to expand my teaching experiences and taught Greek to children at a local church. I enjoy spending time outdoors and playing many sports, such as soccer and basketball. During my free time, I enjoy reading news articles on political affairs and public policy, visiting museums, volunteering at nonprofits, and watching films.
