I have been tutoring advanced math, Actuarial exams, financial mathematics, and all levels of math including test prep for the past 8 years. I am a designed Actuary FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries). I also hold the CERA designation (Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst). I used to be on the New York City Math team many years ago and spent all my student years competing in city, state, and national math competitions of the highest level. I was one of the top students in the U.S. for math competitions. I have tutored 100s of candidates one-on-one and in groups over the years in various areas of math and actuarial science across all difficulty levels and students of all ages. From 4.0 math majors in top ivy league schools, master degree students, and students from all over the world, to career changers with no math background, and younger students of all levels. I have tutored the Actuarial Exams (Probability P, Financial Mathematics FM, Modeling Financial Econmics MFE, Modeling Life Contingencies MLC, and exam C) hundreds of times and my specialty is helping people maximize their time and making their study time as efficient as possible to pass exams on the first/next attempt. Virtually all people I work with pass the actuarial exams on the next attempt and in the process save themselves hundreds of painful brutal study hours because I provide you with everything possible that you need to pass. You can always call give me a call first in which I will provide you tons of free expert advice and recommendations on how to study strategically and then you can decide for yourself how you wish to proceed after we speak and I give you mountains of advice. I recommend which books and study guides to use, how to best prepare for the exams, and help the student prepare from the beginning to the end with all the tips, shortcuts, which topics to focus on, etc... But most importantly, I teach you how to think and how to THINK of the solution yourself. Anyone can pick up a book and go through it on their own and look at the solutions at the back and nod in agreement. But the study guide doesn't talk back to you and doesn't tell you what you're doing wrong or how to improve yourself, and how to learn from your mistakes. But if you want to be sure to easily pass on your first attempt with a high score, I will teach you how to approach problems, techniques, timing and approaches that cannot be found in any one single study guide but rather a compilation of years of experience and expertise through many books and manuals and working through this material with hundreds of people. I prep students for all the preliminary actuarial exams. I also prepare people for Interviews in the actuarial and finance fields. I work with students preparing for any of the standardized exams such as: GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, SHSAT, SAT II, Regents, CLEP test, AP exams, etc... I also tutor Finance, and general Math of any kind.
