Education
I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Education from Biola University, 2007. I initially began school intending to major in film, but during my sophomore year while in a gen ed math class, I realized that I love math. Even though I had only completed Algebra II, I was able to finish my degree in Math with an emphasis in education 2.5 years later.
Experience
I have 4 years direct tutoring experience and 1.5 years classroom teaching experience. My passion is to make math meaningful for students who would otherwise find it uninteresting. I am currently also working at the National Museum of Mathematics in Manhattan to do just that, but I also enjoy the one-on-one aspect of tutoring.

Hobbies
Outside of doing math, I enjoy reading fantasy and science fiction, music, acting, and improvisational comedy. I've been in several plays and musicals, and two improv groups. I enjoy working with students who share those interests, as well as those with different interests as a learning opportunity for myself.
