Education

Master of Arts in English Literature from Buffalo State College in May 2015 Bachelor of Arts in Writing from Buffalo State College in May 2013 English Tutor in Italy for ACLE (Associazione Culturale Linguistica Educational) a non-profit organization in Italy that promotes teaching English in full immersion English camps. Tutor in Summer 2015

Experience

I am a tutor because I love working with students. I was an English Tutor in Italy for the summer of 2015 and taught at different schools around the country and at Buffalo State, I tutored various students in freshmen English classes. I was an Orientation Leader for college freshmen and transfers. I helped students get acclimated to the college setting and assisted them in choosing classes. I was a First Year Mentor in a freshmen residence hall, guiding students during their freshmen year of college and being a positive role model. I was a Junior Counselor at a public park where I supervised children ages 6-16, organized games, read stories, and assisted children with arts and crafts. I have a Masters Degree in English Literature and love helping students simplify complex writing. I enjoy tutoring because it is a fun, educating, and enriching experience for students and I love the smile that students have when everything finally comes together in their mind and they understand.

Hobbies

I was a writing major and I am an English graduate so I love writing as well as reading. I like helping people with their writing skills and I was constantly helping my college peers with essays, assignments, projects, and homework. The best way to teach students is to relate to them. Find common ground and it's possible to learn anything.
