Hobbies
I have always had interests that are equal parts creative and technical. Both a musician and science enthusiast, I have experience in the classroom, but also in the recording studio, art gallery, sales, and office environments. My experiences and interests allow me to easily connect with students with a diversity of interests and backgrounds. I have played guitar, bass, and other string instruments for 16 years, and have collaborated with rock bands, big bands, theater groups, and dance ensembles. I also have experience with computer programming and graphic design, and am interested in how reasoning and computer logic inform and inspire creativity. As a tutor, I am professional, articulate, adaptable, and friendly, and I make every effort to teach according to my students’ unique strengths, be they memorization, visual-spatial, kinesthetic, logical-mathematical, or verbal.
