Experience

I graduated from Columbia University with college honors from Columbia University. My majors were Middle Eastern and South Asian studies and Linguistics. At Columbia, I was a member of the Columbia Tutors and Translators Agency. Professionally, I work with children in an educational setting delivering 45-minute presentations to large and diverse groups with different levels of understanding. These presentations are conducted in Spanish. I have also worked in religious schools with groups of 8- to 10-year-old children. I am extremely thorough-going in my pedagogical approach. I prefer to break down complex concepts in more digestible bits. From my study of linguistics, I've learned the value, moreover, of uncovering underlying structure, a method that, in my experience, allows learners easier access to surface-level tasks.
