Experience
I have over 20 years of teaching experience both in and outside of the classroom. I began my teaching career in a K-2 public school in NY, where I taught for 5 years. I then moved to Los Angeles where I taught in various private schools both as a classroom teacher and a resource specialist. I have experience teaching remedial as well as enrichment classes and have provided tutoring services for students outside of school as well. While I lived in Los Angeles, I took professional development classes and learned how to implement various strategies into my teaching that would benefit the needs of all learners. I mentored various teachers and student teachers over the years and continued to attend workshops and classes to further my learning . Recently I moved back to NJ to be closer to family and friends. Throughout my teaching career I have learned that there is no such thing as a”one size fits all” approach. Students learn differently and it is my job to figure out which way works best. I am a passionate educator and want the best for each one of my students. I believe that all students can be successful in their learning. It is imperative to keep trying and not give up on any student.
