Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
For my undergraduate degree, I attended the University of Kansas, where I earned a B.A. in Psychology (Pre-Med), graduating with a GPA of 3.64. I then went on to receive my Master's of Education from the University of Missouri - St. Louis, where I graduated with a GPA of 3.88.
Experience
I have been working in education for over five years. During this time, I have taught at the elementary level for two years and then at the high school level for an additional two years. During my time in the classroom, I have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, and Chemistry Lab. My favorite part of being a classroom teacher was working 1-on-1 with students and watching as they made huge academic strides. Having taught and designed math curriculum at both the elementary and high school levels, I pride myself on being able to teach math at any level of complexity and make it easy for the student to understand. I have experience creating Common Core-aligned lessons and working with students preparing for SATs, ACTs, and New York State Regents exams.
