Tutoring allows me to use my skills to help others, and I believe my students teach me as much as I teach them. Every pupil I meet inspires me to be a better teacher. Each child or adult has the ability to be a positive influence in their community and sometimes it just takes one teacher to inspire them. I strive to be that person for everyone I teach. I know that every person learns in a different way, so I employ multiple methods to help them learn. I am always excited to meet new people and help them on their academic journey. My educational and professional background has led me to become the teacher I am today. I hold a Bachelor of English Literature from Hunter College. My studies have made me appreciate literature from all over. I have also learned that everyone has different points-of-view on things and to take them into account.
