Experience
I earned my associate degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College in mathematics. I love working with students and finding new ways to help them succeed in their academic pursuits. I tutor a wide range of subjects, primarily in the fields of math and science. Some of the courses I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, discrete math, technology and computer science, calculus 1-3, elementary algebra, business, differential equations, mathematical foundations for computer science, geometry, physics, middle school math, developmental algebra, pre-calculus, quantum physics, statistics, trigonometry, scientific programming, Newtonian mechanics, and competition math. I also offer tutoring in the same fields for AP students and I enjoy working with students who are preparing for a standardized exam such as the HSPT, CLEP, SAT, CST, ACT, PSAT, or CASHEE. I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and I can confidently say that it has given me the experience necessary to work with any student to creatively work past any academic hurdles they may be facing. One of the most effective ways I have found to reach students continues to be the inclusion of real life applications of their course work. When students are able to see the concepts they are studying come to life it's as though they are seeing the material for the first time and their motivation for academic success rapidly increases.
