When I tutor students, I seek to find unique ways to build confidence and offer opportunities to succeed. I believe that tutoring and traditional education can work together to ensure optimal success for each student, regardless of their age or proficiency. When I work one-on-one with a student, I can determine their needs and work to address the problems that they are facing in the subject at hand. Depending on the individual, I use different methods to improve their skills, whether they need to build their vocabulary to improve contextual understanding or develop a stronger grasp of the realities behind math and science. I am adept in many subjects, including history, ecology, geography, and public speaking. By making learning fun, I engage my students and give them a reason to care about the subject. By allowing students to ask questions without holding back, they can get the help they need without feeling less intelligent. In addition to offering guidance in coursework, I also tutor students on their homework, college essays, and study skills and organization to bolster their future success. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading poetry, fiction, and historical literature. I also have a passion for flying, sailing, and environmentalism.
