Experience
I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology and social behavior with a special focus on K-12 education. I earned my graduate degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University. Over the course of my academic career I have been given the opportunity to work with a diverse student population in my role as tutor, peer counselor, and career development coach. I believe it is the diversity of students and exposure to so many types of learning styles that has helped me grow as an educator. I always approach my students with a curiosity about who they are and how they learn so that I am able to choose the best tools and tactics to help them achieve their academic goals. I currently offer tutoring services in pre-algebra, algebra 1, elementary math, reading, writing, essay editing, English grammar and syntax, psychology, public speaking, math, social studies, and English. Additionally, I have found that many students benefit from learning new study skills and organizational methods that can help them more effectively engage with the learning process regardless of the subject matter they are studying. I enjoy working with my students to help them improve their academic skills but also to help them become more independent and confident learners.
