I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics from Howard University and I also have a Doctorate degree in Medicine.
Experience
Experience as a New York City Teaching Fellow who successfully taught Mathematics at the High School and at the Middle School level in New York City in preparation for the NYS Common Core State Exam. I have also tutored high school students in Algebra and Geometry and tutored for preparation of the SAT Examination. These experiences has enhanced my ability to create a clear and concise learning objectives that can be differentiated to accommodate the learning styles of different students. I use the students learning style, whether it is mostly visual or mostly auditory, to engage the student with the material. I may use tactile mathematical manipulatives, as well, whenever further breakdown is necessary. I am an enthusiastic and experienced Math Teacher and Math Tutor. I love math and I like to help others achieve success in the subject area.
