Education
I graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of the Arts. I graduated magna fun laude with a GPA of 3.86. My major was in English Preparation for Secondary Education.
Experience
I tutored for two years at an after school program where I tutored groups of about 14 students throughout the school year ranging in age from third to seventh grade. In college I student taught for a year at a high school. I taught 9th grade full time for half of that year. After graduating I got a teaching certificate in grades 7-12. I want to be a tutor to provide one-on-one assistance to struggling students and use my abilities in a setting more personal than the modern overcrowded classroom where teachers are too often unable to give students the kind of focused attention they need.
