I feel that academic instruction is crucial in an educational environment, both traditional and non. In my experience as an educator, I've been awarded the degree of Master of Science from Touro College in Special Education and General. I also received the John LaSalle Teacher's Award.I have teaching experience in the areas of Biology, AP Biology, Life Sciences, Earth Science, Writing, TACHS, Test Prep, English, Regents, Pre-Algebra, and Math. I also have assisted numerous students with obtaining their GED.I have experienced what it feels like to be able to really reach my students and help them succeed and see how that carries over into their lives. I get to witness the growth of their skills and abilities. I love teaching because of the joy it brings me, but even more than that is fact that I get to be a catalyst for the student's learning, which is really rewarding for me. I have a handful of motivational teaching phrases that I use in the classroom including "patience is a virtue," and "prior preparation prevents poor performance," "learning is fun," and "positive energy equals success."In my spare time I enjoy reading, learning new things, Broadway shows, and shopping.
