As a tutor, my goal is to help students excel now to do better in the future, and understand the WHY behind the HOW. I stress this understanding every time. My method goes beyond memorizing concepts; to do well, one must really grasp the underlying concept or theory. It also takes internalization of knowledge rather than simply knowing it to pass an exam. I encourage all my tutees to think about and question what they are learning, whether it is math, reading, writing, English, Spanish, music, study skills, or public speaking. I'm prepared to ready anyone for the SAT, ACT, COMPASS, ASPIRE, or ACCUPLACER tests.A need to learn, a plan, and time management are the elements needed to accomplish anything. When tutoring, I also use my training and skills as an actor, dancer, and musician to create a narrative during my tutoring lessons. This helps me present the information in a memorable and efficient, and also fun, way. It's an honor to have a gift to help shape the future, one person at a time.In college, I went to Pennsylvania State University and am now based in New York City. I'm also a singer, runner, tennis player, sailor, and swimmer.
