I graduated from Tulane University with a master's degree, and I am in the process of returning to graduate school to pursue an M.B.A. I look at myself as a lifelong scholar, and I enjoy tutoring eager learners in a variety of subjects, such as mathematics, humanities, and foreign languages. I pride myself on being able to connect on a personal level with my students. I strive to help my students unlock their full potential, not only in school, but in all areas of life.I have lived all over the world, on four continents, and have learned a number of languages and gained a lot of knowledge while doing so. My experiences have shaped my worldview, helping me develop a deeper understanding of students' wants and needs. Confidence, dedication, and a thirst for knowledge are tools needed to succeed academically. My teaching philosophy is not about giving students answers and preparing them for exams, but promoting meaningful and engaging discussions. I want my students to feel empowered through knowledge, to learn how to think critically when faced with a difficult situation, and to be able to overcome the most challenging of problems. There is no greater reward than seeing a student overcome his or her greatest obstacles.Aside from traveling abroad, I love to play tennis and explore trendy and unique areas in my own city.
