Private tutor in New York, NY

Harvard - AB, Government

Currently I am a senior working toward my bachelor's in Government at Harvard College. Throughout high school I spent a lot of time tutoring students younger and the same age as me in Math, Spanish, and Music, as well as helping them prepare for tests like the ACT and SAT. I recently spent a year working as a teaching assistant in the Math department here at school, where I helped with an undergraduate class in Calculus. Right now I am volunteering with the Social Outreach Committee, which involves assisting in teaching a leadership course for middle schoolers. I think one of my strengths as a tutor is that students often find it easier to learn from someone similar in age to them. One of the subjects I am most comfortable tutoring is Math, as I simply enjoy problem solving and believe that I'm good at relating the material to whoever it is that I'm working with. In my free time I love spending my time playing viola in the school orchestras. I also like working out, watching TV, traveling, and listening to rock or classical music.
