Education
I am currently pursuing an MD-PhD in Neuroscience at Columbia University in the City of New York. I completed my BS and MS in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University with Latin Honors and with Dean's List and Tau Beta Pi distinction. As an undergraduate at Columbia, I served as a Teaching Assistant in Machine Learning in the Computer Science Department and in Analysis and Optimization in the Mathematics Department (positions normally held by graduate students). I spent a year abroad at Imperial College London studying Electrical Engineering and doing research.
Experience
I have five years' experience in application coaching and seven years' experience tutoring. My former students, more than half overseas students, have matriculated at Harvard, Georgetown, and Columbia as well as the University of California-Los Angeles, the University of Wisconsin, and the State University of New York. On average my students gain 120 points on a subject test and 200 points on the SAT. I believe my record speaks for itself as to what I can help my students to achieve: -MCAT score of 526 (equivalent to old MCAT score of 44) -Perfect ACT score of 36 (99.9 percentile) -Perfect SAT II subject scores of 800 Maths II, 800 Chemistry, 800 Physics, 800 French (99.9 percentile) -IB Diploma with 44 points including marks of 7 in HL Physics, HL Chemistry, HL Maths, and HL Economics (99th percentile)

Hobbies
I enjoy travelling and have been across Asia, Europe, and North America. I have seen the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans from both shores (as well as from the middle!). In my free time, I enjoy reading philosophy, cooking, learning languages, and sleeping. I speak English, Mandarin, French, and Spanish and also read Latin.
