Education

University of Arizona - Bachelors, Biomedical Engineering and Dance

Experience

I attended the University of Arizona where I graduated with unlikely dual degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Dance. I currently live in New York City, where I work as a professional dancer -- usually contemporary dance or contemporary ballet -- with various companies. While in school, I tutored through the National Honor Society and Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), and also worked as a freelance tutor. I have a fascination with our world and the people who live in it, and I find joy teaching other people to find their joy. As a tutor, I'm a problem solver who is always trying to find the one special way to help a student understand a challenging concept or problem, and to show them how things fit together. I'm qualified to tutor in a wide variety of subjects: algebra (1, 2, and 3/4), pre-calculus, calculus 1 and 2, trigonometry, physics, physiology, essay writing and editing, biomedical engineering, art, business, computer science, JavaScript, and biology, along with many of the IB and AP classes from macroeconomics to U.S. government and politics. I'm also a very competent tutor for standardized test preparation in everything from the ISEE and SAT through the MCAT. Away from academic life, I spend my time dancing, playing kickball, reading, and playing board games.
