Professionally, teaching English literature is my specialty, and I'm also proficient in the areas of reading, writing, essay editing, grammar and mechanics, and college essays. Additionally, I lend my expertise to students looking for help with standardized tests that include the SHSAT, SSAT, ISEE, and the SAT.For the past three years, I've served as a lecturer at John Jay College (CUNY), teaching college-level English literature. I'm also adept at teaching world literature and have taught students at Baruch College (CUNY) for several terms. I work hard to teach individuals how to communicate more effectively in their writing. During the school year, I offer students guidance in learning the mechanics of college-level essays during one-on-one sessions and by email. I additionally help both college and high school students with reading comprehension and essay writing, and I review their essays and term papers as well. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy going to the theater and writing.
