I studied life sciences (a typical pre-medical program) and minored in psychology. It was during this time that I developed my interest in neuroscience. Subsequently, I applied and completed my Master of Philosophy degree at Cambridge University in Clinical Neurosciences. I conducted research related to Multiple Sclerosis. After completing my Master’s degree in the spring of 2015, I began my medical degree at NYU School of Medicine, where I study now.

Experience

Hello! I have 2 years of experience tutoring university-level physics and organic chemistry. With my added experience in the neurosciences, I am happy to tutor any of those subjects. I am also happy to help students prepare medical school applications and work on interviewing skills. Having successfully gone through the medical school application process myself, I have extensive experience in both respects. I enjoy tutoring because I find it rewarding to help students reach their academic potential. Having my own mentors who helped to guide me through the academic process, I understand the value of mentorship. I hope to be able to use my skills and knowledge to help students achieve their goals.

Hobbies

In my spare time, I like to participate in all kinds of sports and other athletic activities. Growing up in Canada, I participated in high-level competitive hockey, and played at the varsity level during my time at Cambridge. These days, in addition to playing hockey, I participate in triathlons, half and full marathons. I also enjoy listening to all kinds of music, including rock, country, hip-hop, and jazz. My favorite fictional books are political thrillers, though these days I tend to stick more to non-fiction.
