Private tutor in New York, NY
Temple University - Bachelor of Arts, Psychology
My goal as a tutor is to help my students enjoy learning and find reasons to continue their education. Everyone has a different method and reason for learning, and I hope to uncover those in my students and help them find something engaging to grab on to in their education. Learning is more than just getting good grades and finishing assignments, and I hope I can encourage my students to see that for themselves. I spent a lot of time wondering what application my education would have in the real world, and I had to spend a full year in college before I discovered my own passions. By majoring in psychology, I learned how to perform research, and I found that skill helped me in my other classes. I started taking a wide range of classes, from law to French to biology, trying to figure out how education could become both useful and fun. I have an entrepreneurial mind, so I wanted to soak up as much knowledge as I could, then learn how to apply that to the world to solve problems. As a tutor, I want to solve the problem of enjoying education. I can tutor many levels of reading, computer science, psychology, economics, business, computer science and languages, philosophy, French, biology, social studies, and standardized test prep.
