I am a dedicated teacher and artist with a passion for learning and helping others. My love of language led me to receive my BA in English, gaining excellent training in literature and poetry analysis and thesis-driven writing. These writing skills have helped me receive multiple grants and fellowships to fund my academic and artistic pursuits, work at the United States Congress, and become a published poet. I enjoy helping students succeed personally and academically by encouraging and challenging them to reach their unique potential. I have a liberal arts education, which allowed me to gain a diverse set of developed skills. I specialize in tutoring adults and college students, ESL adults, and beginner piano lessons for any age. If desired by the parent, I assign challenging yet manageable "homework" goals at the end of each lesson, as well as assessments and progress reports. I am happy to receive feedback and negotiate billing if for any reason the student or parent is unsatisfied with the tutoring. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!
