Education
I am a graduate from Stony Brook University who majored in English as well as minored in the health sciences. I have achieved a 3.65 GPA and have made the Dean's List from Fall 2011 to the very end of graduation in May 2015. I enjoyed being an English major because it allowed me to increase my critical thinking of the world and to be a better communicator through written as well as verbal communication. Reading and writing are skills that are vital to creating a well-rounded individual who can also express themselves very easily and I take pride that I can take my knowledge and apply it to teaching. I am a voracious reader, synthesizing new ideas and topics from the various books I read on a daily basis. Writing is also a significant passion of mine, as I believe that writing is so important and vital that the communication of any idea, whether it ranges from the humanities to the sciences, needs to be expressed eloquently and clearly through the sharp use of language to not only engage an audience but to reach out to them.
Experience
I have taught English in an enrichment tutoring center in Elmhurst, Queens called the Scholastic Prep, Inc. I have taught elementary school students on basic ELA and math enrichment skills and they have improved tremendously in their upcoming school years in the fall. I also worked during the summer as an enrichment teacher as well there to help students there. I personally got a 2050 on my SAT, but my real scores' proficiency occurred in SAT Subject Tests, where I received the grade of 5 in tests such as: AP English Literature, AP US History, AP Comparative Government, AP World History, and AP US Government and Politics.

Hobbies
I love biking, as I have a huge passion for being part of the bike and exploring new places throughout the city of New York with it. Not only do I feel great after biking a tremendous distance, but I feel accomplished when I discover new places that cannot be seen if you take the subway or drive a car. The city is full of interesting wonders if you look closely and you can find them at the seat of a bike. I enjoy the outdoors as well, hiking and biking whenever I get the chance. Although born and raised in New York City, I love the outdoors and driving anywhere to a mountain range to hike and engage myself in strenuous outdoor activities.
