I love to help my students gain confidence in themselves and their studies. I believe that when students feel they are capable, they are able to grow and take chances that they never would have before. I have been a public school teacher, and taught Theater, Public Speaking, and Creative Writing to students in the sixth through twelfth grades for seven years. Presently, I volunteer at my son's preschool, where I help students develop their reading skills. I also write for Huffington Post, and enjoy blogging. In addition to that, I am an editor and proofreader for my husband, who is a writer. I offer tutoring in Reading, Writing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, IB Theater HL and SL, Public Speaking, English, Creative Writing, Art, and test prep for the PSAT, SAT, MAP, COMPASS, GED, and ACT. I can help students with homework support, and writing and editing college essays. I am available to tutor during the school year and in the summer.I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Columbia, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Theater. I also possess a Master of Fine Arts in Performance.When I'm not working with students, I love to participate in anything related to theater. I also love to write, and enjoy reading books when I have the time. Last, but not least, I enjoy playing with my lively three-year-old son.
