Education

Boston College - B.S, Physics

Experience

I received my bachelor's degree in Physics from Boston College. I'm an experienced tutor with a passion for STEM subjects, or those that fall into the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. My specialties are physics- and math-based courses. I tutor many courses in these fields, including algebra 1, algebra 2, precalculus, calculus 1, calculus 2, physics, algebra 3/4, science, and associated AP courses.  I have been fortunate to work with students who have an interest in these fields. However, my experience has shown me that while there may be an initial interest, students often are not able to grasp the more complicated concepts. I enjoy showing students new ways to approach the subjects. I believe patience and very detailed lesson plans are the key to helping students master their academic challenges.During my free time, I enjoy playing Frisbee, traveling, learning to play the guitar, swimming, and learning to speak Japanese.
