Private tutor in New York, NY
Princeton University - BA, Comparative Literature
I have a history of excellent performance in standardized tests. I leverage a set of strategies to reach that level of performance, and I have enjoyed sharing my tools and techniques with others, especially if they are prepping for the GRE, ACT, and SAT. I really enjoy tutoring Math, History, Writing, and Spanish. I especially like Math, at every level. There is immense satisfaction when you help a student realize their potential as a learner and they discover strengths that were unknown. With hard work and an abundance of patience, every student can develop and build confidence that they can carry forward with any exam. My approach consists of mixing difficult concepts and going through practice problems so that a student gains a complete understanding. I can tutor a wide range of subjects. In Math I tutor Middle School Math, Elementary Math, Pre-Calculus, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trig, and Statistics. In Science I can teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science. Other areas I cover are Spanish, English as Second Language and English Language Learners, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, American History, European History, and Geography. I live in New York City. In my free time, I like to dance, read, knit, and go to movies. I also enjoy photography.
