Experience

Currently, I am completing the student teaching portion of my master's degree in Adolescent Education. I earned my master's degree in World History at New York University. I intend to pursue a career in teaching. I possess highly developed skills in studying, test taking, and writing. I have been invested in learning the best methods for sharing these skills for the past two years. As an educator, I feel that it is my responsibility to find the style of learning that best suits the student and then to personally tailor the lesson for that particular style. I also believe that it is important to take each student's strengths into consideration and to incorporate them into the lesson. I love when a student experiences the "Aha!" moment and finally comprehends the material. I tutor a variety of subjects, including English, literature, geography, history, public speaking, and social studies. In addition, I am able to assist with standardized test preparation. In my free time, I enjoy baking, board games, knitting, music, reading, theater, video games, and yoga.
